oil spill

a couple days ago a massive oil tanker jackknifed in the middle of the busiest intersection in town, dumping 100 barrels of recently excavated crude oil all over the highway service road and into a nearby creek...




...i got these two frames in before being gruffly ushered away by an irate officer like some kind of delinquent scofflaw. i couldn't decide which i liked more...

while i was in midland, shooting at the St.Anns fair, a cop tapped me on the shoulder and said... "you aint doin' nothin wrong but, you takin' pictures of people you don't know is alarmin' folks."

i politely asked him to take me to these alarmed folks so that i could explain to them what i was doing and why i was taking these pictures. of course he didn't know "exactly where they were at the moment" but he did say that i should definitely cut it out because..."people'er liable to think you're some kinda weirdo"

i told him i was used to it...
